Hi Disney fans,
I was a child raised watching TV my entire life. I’ve been a fan of ABC Disney and Disney Channel ever since I saw it for the very first time at my Uncles Home home in Mexico (funny I know) on his satellite tv. As I grew along with the Disney Channel and later ABC Disney Specials I always wanted to visit the Parks. During my childhood I never got a chance to experience the magic as a child
As I grew older I never got the opportunity to go to the Parks either because it was childish and I am not suppose to be that way late in my adolescences. But I still kept watching my Dark Wing Duck, Ducktales and Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers. As I got a j-o-b. I met my future wife which I found out she was also a Disney Fanatic. Watching the Disney Channel was not a weird thing. That’s so Raven, Phil of the Future, Kim Possible were traded in for stupid news and sports. Ah living the life along with my wife.
For our Honeymoon we spent it at Port Orleans Riverside. My first experience at WDW was with somebody that actually loved me. I think that was a reason to wait so long. My experience would of been different if not experienced this way, but lets not think about the what if. Being at WDW brought my inner child out. Seeing the castle was a sense of accomplishment, a completeness to my soul. Since this first experience we never looked back and everyday is a Disney day. We have officially adopted Walt E. Disney, as our Uncles we should of had.
Back in April of this year I came to a cross roads in my life. I could no longer continue working at a job that does not benefit the betterness of mankind or makes a difference. I left the retail banking sector disgusted and with my life intact after my life was spared by the bank robber, the only draw back it is that I was diagnosed with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) but I was blessed by a great team of Doctors, Acupuncturist, and Therapist to help me manage it. I have my days but with the help of my wife, team of professionals and the Disney Community I know I will be okay.
I started MouseSlap in order for us in the Disney Community to easily follow Disney news from various news outlets and interesting blogs worthy of being mentioned. I am not a web developer by far nor an editor, but as I am transitioning careers it really has really gotten my interest. As I learn, I am going to “level up” the website. I intend to make this the “Huffington Post” within the Disney Community. A website were you can visit and know that all your Disney related news and blog posts worth mentioning are here at your finger tips.
If you want to help me I am all for it. I am in the most humblest state in my life and my wife and the Disney community have really stepped up and help me live a life that Uncle Walt wanted for all of us to lead. “To be good to each other” and “Bring out the goodness of this world to everybody”.
