Magic Kingdom is the heart of the resort, imagined by Walt Disney himself, Magic Kingdom embodies all of the ideals of Disneyland California and takes them to a whole new level. The Cinderella Castle in the Magic Castle is the heart of the park with six individual lands coming of the centre like spokes. Tomorrowland, Adventureland, Frontierland, Main Street USA, Fantasyland, Liberty Square and Storybook Circus make up the Magic Kingdom and each has its own themed attractions, restaurants and shops. Fantasyland is currently being expanded to include areas for each of the main Disney Princesses.
Epcot is split into two different areas, Future World and World Showcase. Future World is a homage to Walt Disney’s original idea for the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. Disney wanted to create a sustainable community which ran on green energy and used cutting edge technology, Future World a theme park dedicated to advancements in technology which will aid the planet is The Walt Disney Companys’ tribute to Walt’s Epcot. Conversely, World Showcase is a cultural tribute to some of the big countries of the world. Featuring local dining, shopping, and entertainment from each culture, World Showcase is a celebration of the traditional.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios embodies all the word Hollywood means. Based around Disney’s movie making tradition, Hollywood Studios bring together old glamour with movie stunts and special effects. Home to some of the biggest rides in Disney World, the Rockin Roller Coaster and the Hollywood Tower of Terror, as well as live shows including Beauty and the Beast, Indian Jones and the Backlot Tour, where props from Disney Movies young and old are stored, a day at Hollywood Studios can only end with the fireworks and pyrotechnic show Fantasmic.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the last of the big four theme parks at Disney World. The largest animal safari park in the world, Animal kingdom is home to hundreds of animals from around the world, as well as few fun rides! Expecting lions, tigers, monkeys, and more, you might even find a Yeti if you’re lucky!
